Canopy is a macOS application for post-production sound. Gather sources, place them in a speaker field, preview the bed, and export into a DAW.

Studio is where you build. Live is where you ride it in the session.

Canopy places unique audio into each channel. Affinity, density, and the deck mods (height, bias, focus, filter, pitch, time, warp) shape a field that is far more immersive than sliding one sound between speakers.

Affinity Engine lights channels from how close the panner sits to each speaker, with bias, height, focus, and density.

Density adds extra independent draws across the field. The image stays wide. You do not get the correlated buildup of traditional surround, the same mono blob copied onto every speaker.

Source Edit: waveform, spectrogram, trims, and health / loop-safety work.

Every source in the scene sits on the panner as a ghost. Turn Beyond on and drag reach to the edge. The field opens past the speaker walls.

Explode sends the bed out into that space. Rotate spins the sources around the room.

Preview plays the baked bed. The correlation overlay lights the room where channels lock together. Crowded, in-phase beds go yellow and pink. Independent draws stay cooler.

Live is the DAW companion, plugin and standalone. It connects to Studio, follows the host playhead, and lets you pan while you hear the session.

Not a second editor. A remote surface and a renderer on the DAW clock.
